1TSKCOMWoe (judgment is coming) to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David [once] camped! Add yet another year; let the feasts run their course [but only one year more].
1TSKCOMJerusalem, city of David, the place of my altar, you are in for trouble! Celebrate your festivals year after year.
1TSKCOMWoe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
1TSKCOMWoe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
1TSKCOMHo Ariel, Ariel, the city where David encamped! add ye year to year; let the feasts come round:
1TSKCOMAyyo, areeyele, areeyele! daaveed paalayamirangiyirunna nagarame! aantotu aantu koottuvin; uthsavangal murekku vannukontirikkatte.
2TSKCOMThen I will harass Ariel, And she will be a city of mourning and lamenting (crying out in grief) Yet she will be like an Ariel [an altar hearth] to Me.
2TSKCOMI will still make you suffer, and your people will cry when I make an altar of you.
2TSKCOMYet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
2TSKCOMthen I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.
2TSKCOMthen will I distress Ariel, and there shall be mourning and lamentation; and she shall be unto me as Ariel.
2TSKCOMEnnaal njaan areeyeline njerukkum; duhkhavum vilaapavum undaakum; athu enikku areeyelaayi thanne irikkum.
3TSKCOMI will camp against you and encircle you, And I will hem you in with siege works, And I will raise fortifications against you.
3TSKCOMI will surround you and prepare to attack from all sides.
3TSKCOMAnd I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.
3TSKCOMI will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
3TSKCOMAnd I will encamp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with posted troops, and I will raise siege works against thee.
3TSKCOMNjaan ninakku virodhamaayi churrum paalayamirangi vaatakori ninne nirodhikkayum ninre nere kothalam undaakkukayum cheyyum.
4TSKCOMThen you [Jerusalem] will be brought low, You will speak from the earth, And from the dust where you lie face down Your muffled words will come . Your voice will also be like that of a spirit from the earth [like one produced by a medium], And your speech will whisper and squeak from the dust.
4TSKCOMFrom deep in the earth, you will call out for help with only a faint whisper.
4TSKCOMAnd thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
4TSKCOMYou will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
4TSKCOMAnd thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust; and thy voice shall be as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
4TSKCOMAppol nee thaanu, nilathuninnu samsaarikkum; ninre vaakku potiyilninnu pathukke varum; velichappaatanrethupole ninre ocha nilathuninnu varum; ninre vaakku potiyilninnu chilekkum.
5TSKCOM¶But the multitude of your enemies [that assault you] will become like fine dust, And the multitude of the tyrants like the chaff which blows away; And it will happen in an instant, suddenly [that your enemy is destroyed].
5TSKCOMThen your cruel enemies will suddenly be swept away like dust in a windstorm.
5TSKCOMMoreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
5TSKCOMBut the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
5TSKCOMBut the multitude of thy foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be in an instant suddenly.
5TSKCOMNinre shathrukkalute samgham neriya potipoleyum nishkandakanmaarute koottam, paarippokunna pathirpoleyum irikkum; athu oru kshanamaathrakontu pettennu sambhavikkum.
6TSKCOMYou will be punished by the L ord of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, With whirlwind and tempest and the flame of a consuming fire.
6TSKCOMI, the Lord All-Powerful, will come to your rescue with a thundering earthquake and a fiery whirlwind.
6TSKCOMThou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
6TSKCOMShe will be visited by Yahweh of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
6TSKCOMShe shall be visited of Jehovah of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire.
6TSKCOMItimuzhakkathotum bhookampathotum mahaanaadathotum koote chuzhalikkaarrum kotungkaarrum dahippikkunna agnijvaalayumaayi athu sainyangalute yahovayaal sandarshikkappetum.
7TSKCOMAnd the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel (Jerusalem), Even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, Will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
7TSKCOMEvery brutal nation that attacks Jerusalem and makes it suffer will disappear like a dream when night is over.
7TSKCOMAnd the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
7TSKCOMThe multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
7TSKCOMAnd the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold, and that distress her, shall be as a dream, a vision of the night.
7TSKCOMAreeyelinre nere yudham cheyyunna sakalajaathikaluteyum koottam athinnum athinre kottekkum nere yudham cheythu athine vishamippikkunna evarum thanne, oru svapnampole, oru raathridarshanampole aakum.
8TSKCOMIt will be as when a hungry man dreams That he is eating, But when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied; Or as when a thirsty man dreams That he is drinking, But when he awakens, in fact, he is faint And his thirst is not quenched. So will the multitude of all the nations be Who fight against Mount Zion.
8TSKCOMThose nations that attack Mount Zion will suffer from hunger and thirst. They will dream of food and drink but wake up weary and hungry and thirsty as ever.
8TSKCOMIt shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
8TSKCOMIt will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
8TSKCOMAnd it shall be as when a hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

9TSKCOM¶Stop and take some time and wonder [at this prophecy], Blind yourselves and be blinded [at its fulfillment by your spiritual incompetence]. They are drunk, but not from wine; They stagger, but not from strong drink.
9TSKCOMBe shocked and stunned, you prophets! Refuse to see. Get drunk and stagger, but not from wine.
9TSKCOMStay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
9TSKCOMPause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
9TSKCOMTarry ye and wonder; take your pleasure and be blind: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10TSKCOMFor the L ord has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep. He has closed your eyes, [you who are] the prophets; And He has covered your heads, [you who are] the seers.
10TSKCOMThe Lord has made you drowsy; he put you into a deep sleep and covered your head.
10TSKCOMFor the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
10TSKCOMFor Yahweh has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
10TSKCOMFor Jehovah hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes, the prophets; and your heads, the seers, hath he covered.
10TSKCOMYahova gaadhanidra ningalutemel pakarnnu ningalute kannukale atechirikkunnu; avan pravaachakanmaarkkum ningalute darshakanmaaraaya thalavanmaarkkum mootupatam ittirikkunnu.
11TSKCOMThe entire vision [of all these things] will be to you like the words of a scroll that is sealed, which they give to one who can read, saying, “Read this, please,” he shall say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
11TSKCOMNow his message is like a sealed letter to you. Some of you say, “We can't read it, because it's sealed.”
11TSKCOMAnd the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
11TSKCOMAll vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed:”
11TSKCOMAnd all vision is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee; and he saith, I cannot, for it is sealed:

12TSKCOMThen the book will be given to the one who cannot read, saying, “Read this, please.” And he will say, “I cannot read.”
12TSKCOMOthers say, “We can't read it, because we don't know how to read.”
12TSKCOMAnd the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
12TSKCOMand the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t read.”
12TSKCOMand the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee; and he saith, I am not learned.
12TSKCOMAlla, aa pusthakam aksharavidyayillaathavanre kayyil kotuthu: ithonnu vaayikkenam ennu paranjnjaal avan: enikku akshara vidyayilla ennu parayum.
13TSKCOMThen the Lord said, “Because this nation approaches [Me only] with their words And honors Me [only] with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me is a tradition that is learned by rote [without any regard for its meaning],
13TSKCOMThe Lord has said: “These people praise me with their words, but they never really think about me. They worship me by repeating rules made up by humans.
13TSKCOMWherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
13TSKCOMThe Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
13TSKCOMAnd the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw nigh [unto me], and with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which hath been taught [them];

14TSKCOMTherefore, listen carefully, I will again do marvelous and amazing things with this people, wonderful and astonishing things; And the wisdom of their wise men will perish, And the understanding of their discerning men will be hidden.”
14TSKCOMSo once again I will do things that shock and amaze them, and I will destroy the wisdom of those who claim to know and understand.”
14TSKCOMTherefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
14TSKCOMtherefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
14TSKCOMtherefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

15TSKCOM¶Woe (judgment is coming) to those who [try to] deeply hide their plans from the L ord , Whose deeds are done in a dark place, And who say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?”
15TSKCOMYou are in for trouble, if you try to hide your plans from the Lord ! Or if you think what you do in the dark can't be seen.
15TSKCOMWoe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
15TSKCOMWoe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
15TSKCOMWoe unto them that hide deep their counsel from Jehovah, and whose works are in the dark, and that say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

16TSKCOMYou turn things upside down [with your perversity]! Shall the potter be considered equal with the clay, That the thing that is made would say to its maker, “He did not make me”; Or the thing that is formed say to him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
16TSKCOMYou have it all backwards. A clay dish doesn't say to the potter, “You didn't make me. You don't even know how.”
16TSKCOMSurely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
16TSKCOMYou turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay; that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding?”
16TSKCOMYe turn things upside down! Shall the potter be esteemed as clay; that the thing made should say of him that made it, He made me not; or the thing formed say of him that formed it, He hath no understanding?

17TSKCOM¶Is it not yet a very little while Until Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field, And the fertile field regarded as a forest?
17TSKCOMSoon the forest of Lebanon will become a field with crops, thick as a forest.
17TSKCOMIs it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
17TSKCOMIsn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
17TSKCOMIs it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?

18TSKCOMOn that day the deaf will hear the words of a book, And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see [the words of the book].
18TSKCOMThe deaf will be able to hear whatever is read to them; the blind will be freed from a life of darkness.
