2TSKCOMAnd the beast that I saw resembled a leopard, but his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth was like that of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.
2TSKCOMThe beast I saw had the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear, and the mouth of a lion. The dragon handed over its own power and throne and great authority to this beast.
2TSKCOMAnd the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
2TSKCOMThe beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

3TSKCOMI saw one of his heads which seemed to have a fatal wound, but his fatal wound was healed; and the entire earth followed after the beast in amazement.
3TSKCOMOne of its heads seemed to have been fatally wounded, but now it was well. Everyone on earth marveled at this beast,
3TSKCOMAnd I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
3TSKCOMOne of his heads looked like it had been wounded fatally. His fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled at the beast.

4TSKCOMThey fell down and worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; they also worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like (as great as) the beast, and who is able to wage war against him?”
4TSKCOMand they worshiped the dragon who had given its authority to the beast. They also worshiped the beast and said, “No one is like this beast! No one can fight against it.”
4TSKCOMAnd they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5TSKCOMAnd the beast was given a mouth (the power of speech), uttering great things and arrogant and blasphemous words, and he was given freedom and authority to act and to do as he pleased for forty-two months (three and a half years). [Dan 7:8]
5TSKCOMThe beast was allowed to brag and claim to be God, and for 42 months it was allowed to rule.
5TSKCOMAnd there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

7TSKCOMHe was also permitted to wage war against the saints (God’s people) and to overcome them, and authority and power over every tribe and people and language and nation. [Dan 7:21, 25]
7TSKCOMIt was allowed to fight against God's people and defeat them. It was also given authority over the people of every tribe, nation, language, and race.

10TSKCOMIf anyone is destined for captivity, he will go into captivity; if anyone kills with a sword, he must be killed with a sword. Here is [the call for] the patient endurance and the faithfulness of the saints [which is seen in the response of God’s people to difficult times]. [Jer 15:2]
10TSKCOMIf you are doomed to be captured, you will be captured. If you are doomed to be killed by a sword, you will be killed by a sword. This means God's people must learn to endure and be faithful!
10TSKCOMHe that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11TSKCOMThen I saw another beast rising up out of the earth; he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon. [Matt 7:15, 16]
11TSKCOMI now saw another beast. This one came out of the ground. It had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.
11TSKCOMAnd I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
11TSKCOMI saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.

12TSKCOMHe exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence [when the two are together]. And he makes the earth and those who inhabit it worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
12TSKCOMIt worked for the beast whose fatal wound had been healed. And it used all its authority to force the earth and its people to worship that beast.
12TSKCOMAnd he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
12TSKCOMHe exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.
12TSKCOMAnd he exerciseth all the authority of the first beast in his sight. And he maketh the earth and them dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose death-stroke was healed.

13TSKCOMHe performs great signs (awe-inspiring acts), even making fire fall from the sky to the earth, right before peoples’ eyes.
13TSKCOMIt worked mighty miracles, and while people watched, it even made fire come down from the sky.
13TSKCOMAnd he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
13TSKCOMHe performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people.
13TSKCOMAnd he doeth great signs, that he should even make fire to come down out of heaven upon the earth in the sight of men.

14TSKCOMAnd he deceives those [unconverted ones] who inhabit the earth [into believing him] because of the signs which he is given [by Satan] to perform in the presence of the [first] beast, telling those who inhabit the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded [fatally] by the sword and has come back to life. [Deut 13:1-5; Mark 13:22; 2 Thess 2:9, 10]
14TSKCOMThis second beast fooled people on earth by working miracles for the first one. Then it talked them into making an idol in the form of the beast that did not die after being wounded by a sword.
14TSKCOMAnd deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
14TSKCOMHe deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.
14TSKCOMAnd he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by reason of the signs which it was given him to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who hath the stroke of the sword and lived.

15TSKCOMAnd he is given power to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast will even [appear to] speak, and cause those who do not bow down and worship the image of the beast to be put to death. [Dan 3:5]
15TSKCOMIt was allowed to put breath into the idol, so it could speak. Everyone who refused to worship the idol of the beast was put to death.
15TSKCOMAnd he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
15TSKCOMIt was given to him to give breath to it, to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn’t worship the image of the beast to be killed.
15TSKCOMAnd it was given [unto him] to give breath to it, [even] to the image to the breast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as should not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
